Infant Care
Our infant classroom holds children from 3 weeks to 18 months of age. The classroom is designed to allow the children a safe place to explore, learn, and play at their own level and pace. Our infant teacher makes sure each child is fed, changed, and cared for throughout the day while supervising the children with their free play.
Children are allowed to nap on their own schedule, but are encouraged to nap during the facility’s scheduled nap time to ready them for the older classes. A sound machine is used to encourage each child to sleep. A bed will be provided for children under one. After one, each child will begin the transition to a cot.
All parents must provide the child’s formula/milk of choice, baby food, diapers, and wipes for this age. Once the child has moved to whole milk and table foods, lunches/whole milk and snacks will be provided for them.
During the course of the child’s stay in the infant classroom, there are goals the teacher tries to reach with each student. The teacher will work with each child in learning to hold their own bottle/cup, feed themselves soft finger foods, listen/understand/follow through with simple words/commands (ie. Yes, no, come here, thank you, etc), crawling, walking, playing/sharing with others.

Toddler Care
Our toddler classroom holds 18 months to 2.5 years of age. This classroom is designed to encourage open play. A more structured environment is introduced in this classroom. Children learn to sit in chairs, eat at the table, and sit and listen to instructions.
Free play is always encouraged, but group instruction is also present. Story time, music time, and pretend play are seen and encouraged more in this age group. This classroom area has an open floor plan which leads to the older class area. Each child sleeps on a cot with a sound machine. By this age, each child should be on whole milk and table foods which are provided by the facility. Parents can bring their child a pre-packed lunch, but it is not necessary.
Potty training in this age is not common, but is encouraged when the child is actively showing interest/ working on it at home.
The toddler teacher makes sure each child is fed, changed, and cared for thoroughly throughout the day while supervising/ leading free and group play.
The teacher’s goal for each child in this classroom is to help them learn how to sit at a table, learn to sit in instructor led play time, move from bottles to cups (if they have not already done so in the infant classroom), learn to soothe themselves without the help of a pacifier except at nap time, learn to play with others in a safe and friendly way.

3 Year Old Care
Our 3 year old classroom holds from about 2.5 to 3.5 years of age. This is the “wide-open, hands on” age group. The teacher makes sure they have plenty of outside time, indoor group play time, and individual play time. This group is made up of mainly children who are potty training or are newly potty trained. Children are encouraged to do more things for themselves such as cleaning up, washing hands, going to the potty all while under the supervision of the teacher. All children sleep on a cot with a blanket or sleep mat during nap time. Music, story time, dance time are encouraged throughout the day.
The teacher’s goal for each child in this class is to learn to sit quietly, follow teacher led instructions, play nicely with others, and stay active. This is our transition class. The teacher is introducing new concepts and ideas such as drinking without a lid, cleaning themselves after they go to the restroom, and following routine without having to be reminded.

4 Year Old and Up Care
Our 4 year old classroom holds 3.5 to 5 years of age. This is our “before big school” classroom. Students are heavily encouraged to follow routine in this class to ready them for public school. They are encouraged to play alone, in a small group, in a big group. They are encouraged to sit still for a longer period of time whether for individual assignments or teacher led instruction. The teacher makes sure they have plenty of outside time and indoor free play time. Each child takes a nap or lays quietly on a cot with a blanket or nap mat.
The teacher’s goal for this classroom is to ready children for a regular classroom setting. The teacher is actively working with each child to be sure they can drink in cups without lids, clean themselves thoroughly after play time, before lunch, after going to the restroom; clean up messes, and to jump in and help others as well. Team work makes the dream work!

After School Care
Angie’s Lil Angels Daycare has a van that transports children (pre-k to 12) to and from Piedmont Elementary school. Children are taken outside for extra play time at the end of a long day of learning. If a child requests help, a teacher is available to assist them in completion of their daily homework assignments.
All children who are in Piedmont Elementary who ride the van to an from school must be in the building by 7:05 am. Each child must wear a safety belt/ sit properly in a booster seat. Children will be back at the daycare facility by 3:15 pm.

Summer Care
Angie’s Lil Angels is open year round. We accept children from 3 weeks to 12 years during the summer months. All children will be divided into appropriate age groups with a qualified staff member to supervise and engage during the day. School aged children will often be grouped together (depending on age). All children are encouraged to get as much outside time as possible (weather permitting). Some of the school aged children (Usually the older children) will often take field trips during the summer months if schedules permit. (I.e. McDonald’s, the park, the movies).
